Over the years I have been in the digital marketing industry, I came across a wide range of businesses that wanted to take advantage of this new age marketing medium. While, a good number of such businesses were able to partner with ethical digital marketing agencies that aligned with the best interests of the businesses, there are instances where either client-agency were not able to align their priorities or some agencies simply took advantage of the ignorance of businesses to provide a sub-par service that wasn’t in the best interest of the businesses.

To empower the businesses, particularly the SMEs and self-employed professionals, who lack the resources and know-how, I started this website. Through this website “DIY Digital Marketing“, I hope to disseminate the essentials of digital marketing, so that such businesses and professionals have enough knowledge to either do their own digital marketing, or are empowered to engage with an agency with the right know-how. An informed client gets the best out of the service provider.

About Me

Manmohan Hebbar

My name is Manmohan Hebbar. My qualification includes B.E from Mysore University and MBA (Marketing) from Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME), Bangalore.

After couple of brief stints in a manufacturing company and an IT services firm, a colleague of mine and I started Zero One Digital Marketing Pvt Ltd in early 2000. We focused primarily on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Social Media was not a ‘thing’ then!

The initial half of my career was focused mainly on the domestic market, particularly IT companies. My company had the privilege of offering services to companies such as Wipro Technologies, ITC Infotech, McDowell, Mphasis, MSN India, MetricStream, Decathlon, Tally ERP etc.

Later half of my career we focused on the offshore markets, mainly the US, Australia and the UK. One of our ex-clients, Akasha Ellis, cofounder of Healthscribe and First Ring Services, became our offshore partner, front-ending us in the United States. During my career, I may have overseen close to 200 projects and assessed hundreds of businesses.
